MY STORY
BEING HERE IS MY ULTIMATE DREAM.
(CUE THE VULNERABLE INTRO)
But it wasn’t a straight path to becoming a hairstylist. I always wanted to do hair + makeup in my teen years but was unsure it would be a solid career choice as it was ingrained in me to go to college since i was a kid. So although i had no idea of what i wanted to do, I went to a university (undeclared) wavering on a major in writing or psychology.
My sophomore year I found myself in the art department with professors and colleagues that inspired me to pursue more of my creative side. I hadn’t considered myself an artist per-se though i always leaned towards the arts and music while growing up. A few years later i graduated with a BFA in studio art after spending countless hours painting and drawing and designing in the studio into hours of the night. I loved every moment of it, but there still wasn’t a clear career path that felt right to me on the other side of it.
I ended up working for a start up, and helped that business grow to multiple six figures. Before i knew it i had discovered my passion for small business, marketing and e-commerce. But surely enough, i’d find myself sucked into watching hair videos and foiling techniques more often than id like to admit. WHAT WAS I WAITING FOR?!?
Now to fast forward a bit… a LOT has happened between then and now. From living in Northern California most of my adulthood, to packing up and heading to Austin, TX right before the pandemic, then coming back to NorCal and finally landing back in OC where i was born and raised… finally to manifest the career that has been waiting for me a LONG time. Just now with more obstacles. I went through beauty school as a newly single mom to a toddler, and as hard as its been, I haven’t looked back since. Seriously every person that sits in my chair is a blessing, and i am as honored to be apart of your hair journey as you are mine.
If we haven’t met yet, hi! I’m Corinne and I’d love to be your stylist. I became licensed in 2025 and have a little over a year’s experience doing hair. I’m a student of life and that’s no different with hair - constantly learning and improving my techniques, attending classes, and getting mentorship from seasoned stylists, educators, and salon owners. You can find me at H Studio Salon in Mission Viejo, owned by the talented stylist and educator, Heather Krohn.
Some of my favorite services include: long layered cuts, dimensional blonding, balayage, and sew-in weft extensions.
I can’t wait to meet you!
